Romance and sophisticated style from the entrance hall to the private beach – when it comes to finding the perfect getaway on the Adriatic, then there’s no better choice than the stylish five star rated boutique hotel in the historic heart of Croatia’s beautiful coastline – Villa Dubrovnik.

Situated perfectly on the cliff-side to the south of the old city walls in the St. Jacob precinct, and seamlessly integrating into the natural landscape a stone’s throw from the ancient city – Villa Dubrovnik is strikingly beautiful on approach, yet there is a distinct sense of belonging. With a mediterranean riviera feel and modern architectural structure, the hotel itself is a hidden gem with instagram worthy views out to the island of lokrum as well as the main town of Dubrovnik.

About Villa Dubrovnik

With the sweet smell of pine trees and freshly baked bread filling the air, when you step out of the chauffeur driven car at the hotel entrance, you know you are in for a treat. Met by a welcoming smile from the reception staff, and a personal service from the front door, right to your room – you will, with no doubt, feel right at home in the hotel.

Villa Dubrovnik is full of the “wow factor”, with stunning views from every one of the fifty-six rooms and seven suites in the hotel. Living up to it’s five star status, not only do the staff make every guest feel like a celebrity, but the communal areas, dining options and room features are all breathtaking. As well as the sleek design of the hotel, you’ll also receive complimentary vaporetto transfers across the water to the city and a breakfast that helps to start every day with a smile from ear to ear.

Romance Forever

The layout of the hotel helps to create an intimate feel, with plenty of bright areas and glass to reflect the panoramic views the hotel boasts. During my stay, I only really saw other guests during breakfast, and down at the private beach area – even when the hotel is fully occupied, there’s no chance of any guests getting in your personal space, meaning you can really relax and enjoy your stay.

Villa Dubrovnik pride themselves on their “romance forever” feel, and aim for the ultimate relaxation for every guest – with plenty of opportunities to rejuvenate the body and soul, like the non-chlorinated indoor pool as well as a fully equipped health suite and villa spa offering a range of treatments and massages – these little extras are great to make a stay even more luxurious.

Rooms and Suites at Villa Dubrovnik

When it comes to the rooms, they are effortlessly stylish. Updated recently with a contemporary design, and quality finish throughout. The rooms are reminiscent of the scenes from a blockbuster spy thriller – and nothing would look out of place with the likes of Daniel Craig gracing the halls. Resplendent in interior design, with crisp lines, plenty of glass to let brightness in and wooden elements that make you feel as though you are staying on a luxury yacht rather than a hotel – you step out onto your private balcony and immediately feel the warmth of the sun, and feel the need to pour a cold glass of champagne.

When you first arrive in your room, you’ll notice an attention to detail that continues throughout your stay, the maids are fantastic, and offer a turn down service every night, quietly refreshing the room as you relax on the balcony. Each guest is welcomed to the hotel with a handwritten note from the management team, another little touch of class that sets Villa Dubrovnik in a league of it’s own. The rooms have incredibly comfortable beds, and luxurious linen for the best, most relaxing sleep. The bathrooms are fantastic with his and hers wash basins, a spacious shower and a view out to sea that’s perfect while you’re brushing your teeth. With complimentary toiletries from Bulgari, Villa Dubrovnik offers luxury through every stage of the day.

Sea views are something that I always find relaxing, and listening to the soft ebb and flow of the water during a lazy morning, with a gentle breeze lifting the curtain in the deluxe double room helped me awaken feeling fully refreshed. Breakfast, like other meals in the hotel’s Michelin starred Restaurant Pjerin, are served on one of two alfresco terraces, giving you picture postcard views of the azure waters and the medieval walls of the UNESCO World Heritage site of Dubrovnik. It’s mornings like this that make it incredibly difficult to leave at the end of your stay, and give you lifetime lasting memories.

The Villa Dubrovnik Experience

When it comes to the staff at Villa Dubrovnik, they are second to none. They really care about providing an attentive and expert professional service to all guests whether you’re there for one night or seven. Dressed in stylish white and navy uniforms – they fit perfectly in the well presented hotel and make the time to get to know each guest during their stay. It’s thanks to their excellent service that Villa Dubrovnik holds a leading hotels of the world listing as well as over 650 five star reviews on tripadvisor.

The reception staff preempt any request, and check each guest is enjoying their stay each morning – it’s the little touches like this that make you feel special. They are vastly knowledgable about the local area, offering advice and recommendations for out of the way and unique experiences in the region. Restaurant and bar staff know exactly how much attention to give to each table, keeping tables clear without feeling like an interruption to the flow of private conversation or romantic moments. The staff in the rooftop bar were exceptional, and during my stay, helped to make me feel completely at ease. While watching the sunset over the city walls, and having one too many martinis in the early hours, this skyline bar is a personal highlight.
